We have years of experience navigating our clients through the criminal justice system.
We’re experts in criminal defense, that’s all we do and all we focus on.
We have great relationships in the courts around Maine and are able to help people navigate the system. Both Merritt and I have close to 25 years of experience combined. We have a office manager, who was in the courts for 12 years, worked as a clerk so he knows the ins and outs, and is able to get information to judges through his personal relationships with the courts.
I really try and focus my practice and the practice of Heminway & Hamlen on a client centered approach. So that we listen to the client’s story and are the voice for the client in the courts and help them navigate the criminal justice system, which can be confusing and complicated and scary for a lot of people.
